Birthing B: closing the gap between "I need help" and "someone's helping."
Bianke runs birth doula support, childbirth education, placenta encapsulation, and infant feeding courses across Dallas-Fort Worth. In her business, the person messaging at 2am isn't a lead. They're in labor.
The problem
Doula and birth-support work runs on unpredictable timing by nature. Clients reach out whenever things start happening, not during business hours. Before automation, every inquiry depended on Bianke personally seeing a message and responding fast enough, on top of already being on call for active births.
Scheduling carried the same risk: overlapping client due dates, education classes, and placenta pickups all lived in one calendar with no automatic way to catch a conflict before it became a real problem.
What we built
An AI-powered intake chatbot, embedded directly on the Birthing B website, trained specifically on her service offerings and voice. It answers client questions immediately, at any hour, and recognizes when a conversation has turned into a booking request.
Behind it is a multi-tenant backend with real-time Google Calendar integration, so the chatbot only offers availability that's actually open, checked automatically against existing bookings, classes, and on-call windows. Every request that comes through lands in a password-protected dashboard for Bianke's review and approval before anything is confirmed, with instant email notifications so nothing sits unseen.
A dedicated placenta pickup intake flow handles the logistics-heavy side of her practice: pickup windows, storage instructions, and delivery preferences, without a single back-and-forth text thread.
